This day has been a long time coming. Jorge and I started cooking this book up a few years ago and now the fifth and final issue will hit comic shelves next Wednesday. I’m so excited for you all to read it.
I just looked at my file dates and realized that I finished writing this issue exactly a year ago this month. Having so much distance between writing it and Jorge and the crew bringing it to visual life is so interesting. It’s like getting to experience a thing I wrote but for the first time.
I can’t say enough about my partners on this book. Jorge, Jean and Nate are at the top of their games and it’s a real pleasure to tell stories with them. There is not one corner cut in this series and it shows. From art to colors and letters. Everyone was throwing out ideas and raising the bar.
I’m going to shut up now and just show you a few preview panels and wait for you all to come back and let us know what you thought after you’ve read it!

We sold out of Skottie’s wrap-around cover on the Marvel 85th Anniversary Special and fielded a lot of emails asking if we would be able to get any more in. Good news! YES! We need a word that means “I’m excited to read the last issue because I want to know how the story ends but also I’m not excited to read the last issue because that means I’ve reached the end of the story.” Preview pages look awesome and I can’t wait to see/read Ryder take on Death! Final variant cover is another great one!
Absolutely cannot WAIT to finish yet another amazing series from you and the team! As usual and to no one's surprise y'all crushed it all around! Like you said, y'all don't cut corners and it absolutely shows. It'll be really fun to discuss the series and the ending with Dustin next week!
