Daily Sketch Drop in the Skottie Shop!

Hey Stupid Fresh Messers, Megan here! I got to the studio this morning and it’s taken me a beat to remember what it is I do here and get into the swing of things after this long holiday weekend. Hahahahaha. We all took a solid 3 days off with our families and it felt awesome! Skottie had like 137 family members in town from Illinois. It was so awesome to meet them all. They crushed me playing cards (as all people with the last name Young do). Skottie showed them the studio and I think they were all blown away and pretty proud of their son/brother/uncle.
DAILY SKETCH DROP
We recently gave our hang out lounge area a facelift with some new furniture and brighter colors. As you can see above, it’s rapidly becoming Skottie’s favorite place. He’s been starting mornings out there and as a result, more Daily Sketches have been happening! Because of the holiday weekend, we are dropping sketches on Wednesday at 10am CST. Here’s a look at what you’ll find tomorrow- September 6th! Breaking Bad, Asoka, Trap Jam & Oreo, Boy At The End: Right As Rain and Urkel will drop right at 10am. Daily sketches are 9x12” and ship for free in John’s signature “bomb proof” packaging.

In case you missed our last newsletter, our newest line of prints UnORIGINAL ART dropped in the Skottie Shop! The feedback we have gotten from you all has been so awesome. Thanks for letting us know you love them. This new line of prints are basically an Artist Edition print of originals showing you Skottie’s lines and brush strokes. They are limited editions of 150, hand numbered and signed. When you share your UnORIGINAL ART purchase on Instagram, tag us @stupidfreshmess. We are on the lookout for some fun and fabulous shares. We will choose a few at the end of the week to send a grab bag of signed Skottie comics as a thank you! We’ll announce those winners in our Instagram story and reach out to them there too. WHERE IN THE WORLD IS SKOTTIE?
LA Comic Con guest list is shaping up to be AWESOME! Our good friend and fellow Kansas Citian, Jason Aaron, was just announced as a guest as well. We look forward to meeting many of you December 1-3! Table info and details will be shared as we get closer to date.
Something really cool we are super excited about is signing with SWAU at LA Comic Con! This is an opportunity for everyone who can’t be there in person to send in their books for Skottie to sign! You get to choose a RAW $20 or GRADED $100 signature as well! We’ve never had a mail in event for raw signatures so this is a great chance for you to get that collection signed without needing to grade and slab if that’s not your jam.

Absolutely loving the updated space! Super colorful and fun but even better if Skottie and y'all are enjoying it! And just in time for all the family too. Loved seeing all the photos Skottie shared on Instagram and calling out family members. Seems like it was overall a great time! Along with the rest of the SFM crew enjoying their breaks as well!
I've greatly enjoyed the increase in daily sketches for sure. The next lot going up tomorrow has two of my favorites; Breaking Bad and Ahsoka!
And I'm with Tracy as well, that the new exclusives sound super awesome and I can't wait to see them!
