Love, love, love this comic. Middlewest #1 is a masterpiece and one of the best series openers I’ve ever read. The writing, art, colors, inking—everything comes together in a symphony of awesomeness from the first panel. The emotional intensity and high stakes are established early, pull you deep into the story, and never let you go. There is a page in this issue when afternoon deepens to dusk and then beyond that even now, after I’ve read it countless times, makes me nervous and tense like I’m there right beside Abel. Such a great comic!
Absolutely loved this series! Have the three softcovers with the third one signed after buying it off your site. As well as the hardcover collection, which I bought off the site! I love the book plate it comes with. Even been looking at picking up the individual issues as well just to have it in all formats!
