Our hometown show.

Hi guys, Megan here with the details for Planet ComiCon! Could we BE more excited to be back at our hometown show? NO, no we could not! We haven’t been to Planet ComiCon since 2022 and that is only because it happens to land smack during Spring Break. And our four kids are kind of big on Spring Break. Actually we are too. But we found a way to make it work for them and for us this year! Skottie is heading home early from vacay with his family so he can make it to Planet. I’m super grateful to him and to his family for letting him cut it short a few days. If that doesn’t guilt you into coming to see us in Kansas City than nothing will :)

Please don’t hesitate to introduce yourself at the table! It’s so fun meeting you all and you’d be surprised how many names John and I start to recognize by packing your orders from The Skottie Shop. We already think we know you lol so it’s awesome to put a face to the name for us.

Our tables will be 3714-3715- see the red circle on the map at the very back edge of Artist Alley.

Skottie is not sketching or taking commissions at conventions but we will be bringing a few portfolios of originals with us- everything from older interiors, rough pencils to Original Cover Art. Get to the table early for best selection!

Thank you to vendors and comic book dealers who have reached out for a private signing. We’ll be focused on the convention floor this time and won’t be hosting private signings. The best bet for those is usually Heroes Convention. You are more than welcome in our line and we’ll do our best to take care of you efficiently.

• Raw signatures are $10 each. Anything you buy at the table from us includes a signature!

• Graded signatures are $30 each. Please have a witness with you in line from one of the facilitators present at the show. Planet ComiCon has information about available facilitators HERE.

• PLEASE HAVE BOOKS OUT OF BOARDS AND BAGS BEFORE YOU ARE AT THE TABLE. That way you can spend your time talking to Skottie and not fumbling with bags and boards. And, it’s just polite to everyone behind you in line so that we can keep it moving. In the same respect, we ask that you move away from the table to put your books back inside bags.

• We kindly ask that you do not go live or record for WhatNot, Ebay Live, etc.

• Skottie signs in black sharpie or silver for dark/black covers.

• Thank you for understanding that Skottie does not sign homage covers or remarks that have edited or painted over his cover art

• Limit of 40 books. This is subject to change based on the length of the line or if it’s the end of a signing. You are welcome to get back in line!

We’ll have Skottie’s creator owned books, many of our exclusive covers, and UnOriginal Art prints. If you don’t know what our UnORIGINAL ART is yet, take a look here! They are super limited edition prints of Skottie’s line work on top of printed blue line. We will also have some Big Marvel posters, Big Marvel grab bags and some packs of Skottie’s incentive ratio covers from I Hate Fairyland. We’ll also have some copies of our Absolute Batman #1 exclusive which is sold out online! We held back some convention copies for you all coming to Planet! These will be limited to one per person so get to Skottie’s table early if you plan to grab one.

While you are in Our Town, be sure to check out a few of our favorites in and around our lovely downtown.

• Check out the art galleries in The Crossroads neighborhood, vintage shops and unique makers in the West Bottoms, Jazz and Negro Leagues Baseball Museum at 18th & Vine District, lively nighttime vibes in the Power and Light District, shopping at The Country Club Plaza. You can’t leave without seeing the amazing Union Station and WWI Memorial lawn, and the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art.

• The food scene here has really blown up. For the foodies, check out Corvino Supper Club, The Town Co., and Farina. For a crazy good burger, check out Town Topic and BRGR.

• You can hop on our free streetcar from the River Market (food, drinks, art) all the way through downtown to Union Station- which you really shouldn’t miss.
