ABSOLUTE BATMAN and other Skottie Shop updates

Hey guys, you’ve got Megan here today with the latest news from the Stupid Fresh Mess studio! We have wrapped up Planet ComicCon, FanExpo Denver and Heroes Convention and some seriously FUN exclusives. Skottie will be headed to SDCC in a few weeks (see his signing schedule below) but the rest of us finally have a chance to freshen up the place. Packing for a con, shipping to a con, unpacking and setting up at a con, re-shipping and unpacking again at the studio take a tole on our space here. DJ is here 3 days a week now which is HUGE help for John and me to keep the business of every day running smoothly. One thing to know about me, I LOVE office supplies and organization. So how excited am I for our new packing stations? Yes!! They have cubbies, and shelves, and built in outlets, and places for sticker rolls, and boxes, and bubble wrap. Basically the Rolls Royce of packing stations haha. Just look at her! So keep us busy here will ya? We need to break them in.

You all remember this guy? I think it still stands as our fastest sell-out EVER.

Before Exquisite Corpses… there was Rascal Randy! When we heard he was getting his own spin-off and origin story, we were definitely hyped to see Skottie take on this character again. And here is our EXCLUSIVE for RASCAL RANDY #1 !

I was SO excited to get these books that I didn’t clock even that there was a printing error. Look closely and you’ll see that the Rascal Randy logo is kind of ghosting in the background to the left of Randy in the photo below. We finally figured out that it’s the inside of the front cover inverted. Anyway, we are awaiting news on a reprint and wanted to give you all the update. The update is, we don’t know when our books will get here! We don’t love doing drops without having an expected ship date for you all so we’ll hold off until we have that. We will drop another newsletter just as soon as we can and it will likely be a very fast drop.

We’ve added signed copies and CGC Signature Series options for The Amazing Spider-man #1000. Preorder by final order cutoff Monday July 13 to make sure you get a copy. This is an open order cover so unsigned copies will be available wherever comics are sold! This issue comes out on September 16. Orders will ship after Skottie has signed.

We’ve had quite a few asks to see the original art for this cover. Here it is!

We JUST dropped our remaining copies of our connecting set of Absolute Batman #20! They are STILL a limit of TWO per customer so if you already bought two, do not place another order it will be cancelled. These copies are part of the 15% held back for damages, conventions and also from several orders we cancelled (Buyers who placed multiple orders. Don’t do that.)

There will be a delay on shipping signed copies. We aren’t sure if Skottie will have time to sign before leaving for SDCC!

UPDATE AS OF 1:53 PM THUR JULY 9 WE ARE SOLD OUT. WE CANCELLED SIX DUPLICATE ORDERS TODAY AND THOSE COPIES HAVE ALREADY BEEN RELISTED. THANK YOU!

Don’t forget to check out the WAREHOUSE SALE as well! We have a lot of signed single issues in there right now.

For those asking if we will have any copies of the 1:25 wraparound cover for JLA Avengers, Yes we will. We don’t know how many but it’s easy to see it will not be enough copies to meet the demand. This is just a harder book to get ahold of as a 1:25 and we don’t order all comics like a regular retailer would. We’ll announce when the listing is live here to our newsletter readers. Look for it very close to publication date of July 22.

Skottie will have a few signings at SDCC this year! We’ll update his schedule if things are added or change. Lines will quickly be capped so show up early!
