It’s Megan here to shout the news that we’re having an Original Art Sale! I’m shouty because this really doesn’t feel like the kind of art drop we’ve had before. As most of you all know, Skottie has been holding onto some of his art the past few years. While that’s still true, he is letting go of some absolute bangers. I believe that 2024 is going to go down as one of the strongest years of Skottie’s work. I'm thrilled for some of these insta-classics to join your collections.

We’re going to give you all more heads up than we usually do, so help us spread the word out there! Listings will go live in one week..

• Original art can move lightening fast. The most sought after can go in nano-seconds. We don’t offer advance sales as we strive to be as fair as possible. Be logged into your account and ready to go.

• Prices are not released ahead of the drop.

• We do not offer payment plans.

I Hate Fairyland book 3 is finally here! It’s been pretty amazing surrounded by all this YELLOW and we can’t wait to get these into all the hands of people who pre-ordered. Sending all our gratitude and appreciation for supporting Skottie’s creator owned adventures. It’s really quite a big deal to him, and to all of us, when you purchase these books. Thank you.

We’ve added a few titles to our CGC Signature Series collection.

We’ll be dropping a few other cool things super soon. Including our signed set of THE DEATH OF SPIDER-MAN series. We will have about 100 of those and they will be limited to one per customer. When those are live in the shop we’ll announce it here to our newsletter readers first. Did you guys see Skottie’s final cover? It’s a perfect wrap for the series (and what John and I see at any given time cruising outside his window).

What is the difference between a REPRINT and RESTOCK?

This is a timely one because we recently RESTOCKED some copies of Absolute Batman #1 and Something Is Killing The Children #0 that had sold out. We got a few questions about why & how we could do that. As it turns out, there is some general confusion and interchanging of these terms and how people use them. It’s our practice to hold back some inventory to account for damages, comps, and conventions. After the dust settled and all our orders were out, we had more books than anticipated and were able to RESTOCK a very small number of copies.

When it comes to an exclusive cover with a limited print run, we share our print run numbers with you all. We ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS stick to the actual number printed. We don’t destroy books to get lower numbers, we don’t manufacture rarity or adjust them in any way. If we REPRINT a book, we tell you upfront. Transformers #1 is actually the only exclusive cover that we have ever reprinted to this date. If you look in the shop you’ll see those are entirely different product listings labeled “2ND PRINTING” or “4TH PRINTING”, with their own print run numbers and the covers are slightly different.
