And just like that, THE ME YOU LOVE IN THE DARK comes to an end.

Issue #5 will be available in stores today, December 1st, and that brings our story to a close! I can't believe we’re already here. It seems like we started this forever ago, but also, only a few months ago.

Jorge and I dreamt this story up, wrote it, and started art for this book in the beginning of 2020. Just as we got started, the world shut down and we decided to pause. We weren't sure comics would even be around if and when the world opened back up. We weren’t sure that a book this dark, about the subject matter we wanted to cover, would be the right move after a year of some pretty heavy mental health battles we were all faced with.

But a few months into quarantine we said “FUCK IT” and dove in. I finished the last bit of writing and Jorge dove hard into the pages. We had no idea the subject matter would be a reflection of the year to come. People stuck in houses, sometimes with others they love but become scared of.

So the fact that a year later, our work on the series is done and tomorrow the finale will be in your hands is just unbelievable to me.
