The Friday Lowdown. (Hint... read to the bottom)
Hey everyone! Megan here. It’s been sooooooo quiet around the studio this week with a noticeable absence of Hip Hop blasting at 7:45 in the morning. Skottie has been down in Sarasota at CGC headquarters signing and remarking an obscene number of your books! The team there has been sharing pics with us along the way. I can’t wait for these books to return home to you guys! He really crushed those remarks and, of course, had fun with it all along the way. Here’s a little glimpse of his trip!
Hey, Skottie.
What’s your poison, popcorn or candy at the movies?
I’m mostly about that popcorn when I hit up a movie! I grab the large popcorn and an extra box and head over to the butter station. I pour the popcorn out into the box, start drizzling that butter over the bottom layer, then pour a little popcorn back in the bucket, drizzle more butter, and repeat until it’s all back in the original vessel!
When the movie starts, I start housing that popcorn like they may never make popcorn on earth again. It’s so satisfying…until I realize I kind of want some candy now. Hahaha.
So I run back out to the lobby and snag a bag of Mini Chewy Sweet Tarts!
Clearly, I can’t choose and guess what… I’M A GODDAMN GROWN UP AND I DON’T NEED TO CHOOSE, MEGAN! Why are you trying to make me choose between two beautiful things?!?!
I have witnessed first hand The McYoung (Casey McCauley + Skottie Young’s given couple name) popcorn ritual and it is a thing to behold. They both get super anxious if anyone else tries to manage the popcorn situation. It REALLY threw them for a loop when theaters started putting butter in tiny little baby cups and turned off the free flowing machines this past year.
