I went through some of my playlist and found some songs I think would be great for you that also gets me into the groove of things. No lyrics but some of the instrumental samples of old shows and movies and one or two of them have those in them but I don’t consider those lyrics. ENJOY AND WORK HARD!!!
Rain Dogz - Mothra
Vebee - C l i m a t e
City Lounge - Sabi
Smooth - Sabi
Sakura Trees - Sabi
Ribbon by the Sea - Uyama Hiroto
Runtothesunset - Tomppabeats
Smash Bros in the Bronx - June Jissle
O.I. (Mortal Dilemma) - fat jon
Using What You Got - Flying Lotus
Spike Spiegal - Sabi
Honorable mentions would be the soundtrack to Samurai Champloo along with many other works form Nujabes, before he died he had mastered the trip hop lofi world.
Along with any Instrumentals by MF DOOM the man knew how to rap and make music and has plenty of instrumental albums to listen to!
Man, do I relate to the comfortability of a routine and finding those months slipping away. A great reminder that breaking away from it every now and then can be beneficial!
Especially excited for the fact it's worked with you and Boy at the End! Cannot wait for when you start sharing more on it!
I unfortunately can't help on the music side of things but hopefully you'll get some great suggestions!
I have to listen to instrumental music at work for my ADHD. So lately I have been listening to Evan Call. He has done the music for several Animes like Violet Evergarden and Frieren. Plus any of the How to Train your Dragon music. For some fun and kinda Jazzy there is SPYxFAMILY. I even have some Legend of Zelda music on my list. Hope this helps!
UNKLE, Massive Attack, Tricky, Hooverphonic,Lamb, Zero 7, Cocteau Twins, Sigur Ros, Air, Tricky.... so many good tracks out there! Good Luck on the book Brother!
I am so sorry I don't have an instrumental suggestion for you, but I will say I have been waiting for Boy at the End since your first Blogspot post about it. I really love this character and I am praying - yes praying for this process to be good for you and the Boy.
I'm going through some stuff right now. My Dad died. I'm taking my wife and kids out of state to preach his funeral. I love how Boy at the End helped you to work through some of your own stuff over the years, and I'm trying something similar with mine. Thank you for the inspiration.
Russian Circles album called Station. I asked my coworker who is a writer suggested this.
This is amazing. It's in the first addition to the BOY AT THE END INSTRUMENTALS playlist. I'll share the list here when I finish building it.
Oh this is amazing! Not sure if it's working for Skottie over at the loft but we are crushing it at the studio listening to this ahahaha. Thanks!

definitely added a a few of these. Great picks. thank you!
Holy crap!! Of course sir!!!! Thank you for being an awesome artist and writing. I hope you’ll see my art one day up with yours!
If it’s not to much to ask, are there any songs you would recommend for someone to listen to? Anything interesting your jamming too now?
Music recommendations:
DJ Shadow - Endtroducing..... (he has some other great albums, but there will be vocals sprinkled in some of those)
Funki Porcini - Hed Phone Sex
jhfly - sometimes (and pretty much all the rest of the albums)
Idealism - rainy evening (and pretty much all the rest of the albums)
Sounds like the genres that might work for you are instrumental trip hop/lo-fi hip hop.
Enjoy!
Thank you! All of yours Got added! Nailed it.
