Now this is a ton of fun. As someone who loves art and design but has no skill in those areas whatsoever it’s wildly interesting to get insight like this. Thanks!

He looks like a good fit for strange academy villain.

Great post. Love the critique of one of your early drawings and how you would approach the same process/character today. The early drawing is definitely you and yet the new rendition is even more undoubtedly SKOTTIE—a dynamic and intriguing character. I can see where this new Rapskallion has been and where he might go next. I would definitely go adventuring with him.

Can’t wait to see more from the Lost and Found!

He looks like an artificer for RPG like Pathfinder or D&D. Rides the line of technology and magic

First off, congrats on the OA drop! While I may not have been able to grab any it's always great seeing your stuff sell.

Second off, wow, what a post! As always I love getting a behind the scenes look at things. But this has been one of my favorites! To take that trip down memory lane with you not only with the sketch but the history behind it. And then to see you redraw it all this time later and to get your reasonings for your choices? Loved it!

Funny enough the timing of this is funny as I also stumbled upon an old set of comic characters I created when I was younger. My Rapskallion equivalent was far less interesting and straightforward hah...Friction! Lol he's pretty much like he sounds, a blend of Static Shock and the Flash. Same deal of that one defined drawing/sketch making me have that same feeling of thinking I could do this. That ended up not happening but I'd love to get back to drawing. So that one day I can also redraw him sometime down the road.

As always thanks for keeping up with these posts as they're inspiring as ever!
