I managed to grab a copy of the hardback at a bargain price of eBay last year and it was one of (if not THE) best reads of 2022 for me. Already prodding friends to grab this paperback edition 😀
I’ve been wanting to read this comic for so long. I’m glad I saw that you had this version available. I snatched a copy right up from your site. I’m sure I will love it after having loved The Me You Love in the Dark.
So glad I was able to find Middlewest starting with issue 3. I was able to grab 4th and 3rd printings of 1 & 2 and I was hooked. When I saw a complete HC in Previews I had to have it. Now I might have to pickup a copy of the SC from you site with that sick cover. I will also be rereading it at some point this year. Thank you again for the fantastic storytelling.
Saw the new soft cover posted on Instagram and having the hardcover, individual volumes and a handful of issues....I might just have to grab this! It's honestly one of my favorite works from you! It's so personal, touching and beautiful! However, also sad but the reality of it is and that's what makes it so damn good.
I'm due for a re-read just looking at it on my shelf. Or a re-buy in this case.

The first issue of Middlewest is perfection. Truly, I think it’s my single favorite issue of anything…and it doesn’t let up. Each issue required multiple reads—for the words, for a closer look at the art, to burn those colors into your eyeballs. It’s a remarkable, deeply personal, and emotionally resonant story, a fantastic adventure and family drama that holds up and even gets better with each reread. Thanks to you, Jorge, Jean-Francois and Nate for giving us such a great comic. The softcover looks great and I can’t wait to add it to my collection!

There's no rule. We released a hardcover first and we sold out completely of that print run. We thought it would be fun to offer a brand new version.
