Hahaha what a fantastic story to read on this Monday of your famed Batman interview! To be able to see it in theaters on release day would've been amazing! But alas, I was not born then hah. But that didn't stop me from loving those movies as a kid! And then eventually getting to see them in theaters when they re-released them a few years back for one of the anniversary events. Plus I've got all the dope McDonald's glasses they released!
Honey I Shrunk the Kids was also fantastic! I remember going to Disney World when they had the Honey I Shrunk the Kids area and it was awesome! Being "shrunk" down and walking around the world with big ants and stuff.
Set a reminder for the live stream and can't wait to join in! I may have missed Transformers but I won't be missing this hah!
Unlike you, I was in that long line with my family & my cousins to see it. They ran out of seats and actually let people come in to stand against the wall to watch it. Obviously they didn't care about fire codes back in the late 80's. It was INSANE! I remember a news crew being there but, unlike you again, I didn't get to be on the news. I did later in life as a professional body piercer, when the Daith piercing, pronounced as "Doth", became so popular because it helped with migraine headaches.I laughed out loud reading your story...what a charmer you are!
I can relate to all of that.. I also saw Batman in 1989 I was 11.. Tim Burton opened up a world of Gothic fantasy that stirred my imagination.. I'm yet to do anything with that stirring.. Honey I shrunk the kids... I also saw that at the movies.. now that was it's very self-deprecating occasion.. I will not go on...
I like the sound of something so cool you want to announce it during a live stream! I’m more than a little intrigued…
🤣 THE PLOT TWIST WAS EPIC ! Hell yeah!

That’s one of the best stories I’ve heard in awhile!! Hilarious
June 23 is my mom's birthday, and in 1989, FOR HER BIRTHDAY, 10-year-old me took her to see Batman on opening day. No regrets.
I would then go on to see the movie another five or six times that summer.

Summer Divorce Vacations - how many r-rated movies can you watch? How many meals can be eaten at McDonald’s? Talk about a silver lining!
Wow 😂
