Twig's Quest Has Begun!
Twig #1 is hit's comic stores today.
WANNA GO TO THE PEANUT?
That’s the sentence that was responsible for so much of the journey you’re about to take with our little furry blue friend, Twig.
Kyle and I had decided to create a project together at a kids birthday party. Then we started sharing a studio around the corner from our favorite neighborhood bar, The Peanut. This place just happens to have the best hot wings in KC and Kyle I developed somewhat of an addiction to them. So, “Hey, wanna go to The Peanut?” was almost always followed by “Uh, yes.” It went this way no matter which one of us asked or which answered. One day, after devouring our piles of pterodactyl-sized wings, we started to brainstorm ideas for Twig until Kyle said he needed to get back to work. I simply said “This is work.” He lit up and we kept daydreaming for hours after that.
Flash forward a few years and the results of daydreaming while eating wings is on comic shelves and waiting for you to go grab a copy!

This was a lot of fun. Wears the influences on it's sleeve but it also has a ton of heart and the adventure elements come through beautiully. The world is also a brilliant living and breathing ecosystem that is just waiting to be explored. I can't wait to see where issue 2 takes us!
Just finished reading it, and can't wait to see where the story goes in issue 2! The art and colors are awesome. Congrats to everyone involved for having a new book out in the world!
