My favourite moment had to be when I found out who Skottie Young even was! I just stared into collecting comics a few months ago and on my first day in my local comic shop I was shown the negative space Bullseye cover he had done and from then on it was a go go all the covers I could find. I’m very happy with my twig and I hate /Fuck fairyland collections and love hunting for older covers I haven’t seen yet. @dreckdademon
Thanks everyone. It all started because I’m a professional artist that doesn’t know how to draw… I started buying comics to try and teach myself and Skottie’s covers helped bridge the gap between “I can’t draw” and “I want to try oils!” So thanks Skottie (and your crew) and keep ‘em coming!!🤙🔥🤙
So I met skottie back in June at the Charlotte, NC convention, My boyfriend and I walk in with a shoebox full of our favorite covers to get signed by skottie. I remember being extremely nervous but super excited! As we slowly walked looking for skottie’s table, we are arguing back and forth where he was at and I’m looking around and out the corner of my eye, I spot skottie standing at the bathroom (awkward) so of course I didn’t want to approach him on his bathroom break lol we stand in line and finally got to meet him, Megan and John, they were super nice and skottie even took a selfie with us!! I’ll never forget that day, we walked out not only with some new covers we got to buy but the amazing feeling of “we just totally met skottie freaking young! Our favorite artist/writer of all time!” My favorite cover is hands down the Batman! We were so excited to hear about this for skottie an have been waiting on a dc cover for 5 years!!! But honestly all of his covers, new and old are my favorite! I have over 100 and still picking up new ones weekly! The excitement I get when I’m flipping at our local comic shops an I come across his covers hidden in the middle, is a feeling I can’t explain! I hate fairyland is what started my love and passion for collecting and enjoying skotties art and style!!!
It probably comes as no surprise, my favorite Skottie memory from 2023 is getting some original art from Fortunately, the Milk. But also…it’s always fabulous to see and catch up with the entire Stupid Fresh Mess crew at C2E2, IHF Issue #4 is sheer comic brilliance and hands down has the most perfectly placed bubbles I think I’ve ever seen in a comic, and Skottie’s Something is Killing the Children sketch killed it. And the Transformers cover…and Dracula…AND BATMAN…I can’t wait to see what’s coming in 2024!
I was stoked to be able to meet Skottie at C2E2 and have him sign a few copies of Me You Love in the Dark - probably my personal favorite Skottie series! @midlife_comic_crisis
Taking my son for the first time hook, line, and sinker! Now there are 2 skottie young fans in the house hold. My 12 year old son and my 43 year old self. My wife on the other hand, let’s just say she works hard for her money and Skottie is getting a piece of the pie. lol
The best Skottie Young moment for me this year besides all the amazing covers he has released was his very first whatnot show! It was amazing getting a chance to ask skottie questions and hearing all the great stories he told while we got to see him sign books, do some cool remarks, and sell some of his amazing original art
By FAR my favorite skottie memory is getting the Daily Grind Vol. 1 book. I just graduated college and for my last semester, I loved to look through the book to find inspiration for my sketches and design work, Skottie's confidence with his inking is unreal. My birthday is a week from today and I think I am going to treat myself to the next volume soon. Love looking at skottie's art, there is something so carefree and striking about it. Looking forward to more daily sketches!! -@finnaidan
My favourite thing is to not only have new IHF issues to buy each month, but getting the print copies of 'Untold tales...' has been bloody awesome. When they were first posted here on Substack, each time I just thought "This would be cool AF in a book" and it turns out I was 100% right :D

It is an awesome treasure hunt! I am still shocked at how many early Skottie covers are out there that I had NO clue even existed.

Meeting Skottie at Third Eye Comics and getting my books and my book holder signed.
Wait Scotty was at third eye in Maryland!?! I can’t believe I missed that.

I really liked the X-Men 141 homage cover. The Transformers cover was amazing though also. (@fatdadi0)
