I'm excited that y'all are excited for this! Even just attending the cons as a non-artist is exhausting so I can only image what it's like with a whole booth! I'm glad to hear you aren't entirely done with cons though and I'm hoping this means this will help provide the multi-longbox people with the sigs they want. As well as gives people with only a few items more of your time at the cons!

Neat idea. Curious to see how it evolves after a few experiences/experimental runs. Hopefully it proves to be a worthwhile endeavor.

Minimum 100 books? Apologies if I’m missing something here (and I mean no offense) but then isn’t this just an event for resellers? Not fans?

I wouldn’t be able to make it to KC anyway, but am I missing something?? (Definitely possible)

This sounds like an event for people looking to have a ton of books signed and then sell them on eBay, no?

It's not only for one or the other. It's for both. But yes, 100 minimum is what we need to make it worth me taking 2 full days off work to sign books. And yes, a lot of them will be resellers. But that's no different from when I go to a con. I spend half my signing time at conventions signing long boxes for retailers, resellers, and big collectors. This isn't a "fan" event, but it is designed to help my time at cons be more fan serving. It's a way for us to actually free up some time at conventions I can go to and make sure more of that time is for fans who have 1, 2 or 40 books. Trust me, I wouldn't even consider doing this if it wasn't going to help me spend more time at conventions with fans and readers. The great thing about this community is that it thrives because of the reader who buys 1 book or title, and because of the resellers who play in the collector market. Like Elton John taught us, IT'S THE CIRCLE OF OF (COMIC) LIFE! haha.

Oh wow. Didn’t expect you to reply. Thanks, Skottie! That clears things up and glad you’ll have more time for the fans at cons by doing this.

I’ve been able to meet you a couple times at NYCC and let me just say again, HUGE fan.

And please don’t stop doing what you do. The covers and the books you write; I love it all, and wish I had enough $ to buy it all.

Thanks for clarifying.
